Constructed by world renowned designer, Ralph Schuermann, the track is made from Siberian pine and has capacity for 2000 spectators, with room for a further 2000 temporary seats during major events.
As well as our introductory sessions, if you fancy taking cycling a little more seriously and making it a part of your fitness regime, or you've always fancied joining a team then we have a four stage accreditation process to go through after which you will be able to enjoy a range of different sessions from endurance and sprint training to Derny and track leagues.
If you’ve already achieved accreditation in one of Britain’s other four Velodromes then we will accept official notices of accreditation.

Please note that as of Monday 11th November, dedicated Accredited Drop-in sessions for Juniors will be programmed into our timetable:
These sessions, like our others, can be booked online, over the telephone on 0141 287 7000 or in person at reception.
As of this date, any fully accredited riders aged 15 and under should use these sessions, whilst anyone aged 16 and over should use the adult accredited drop-ins. Riders will only be permitted into sessions according to these age groups.
Please also note that the fortnightly Junior Taster sessions at 1700-1800 on a Friday will now be for 13-15 year-olds only. 16-year olds should follow the adult accreditation route.
There are currently no additional sessions available. Please use the link above to refer to the current timetable.
(Please note that where any additional sessions are noted below, these replace any other scheduled sessions on the Velodrome timetable)
The Velodrome is extremely busy over the next few months and we are keen to make sure you are aware when you can get in. Please find below the details of the potential closures or timetable changes that might impact on you.
