The Indoor Arena is a custom build arena ideal for hosting any number of sporting events.
It has the capacity to hold up to 7,000 spectators and will stage the badminton in the Commonwealth Games.
The Arena has a 200 metre, 6 lane athletics track which is hydraulically operated to allow for other events, such as the badminton, to be held.
The athletics track will be used for events such as the Glasgow International Match held each January. It will also provide the athletes of Glasgow with a perfect training venue throughout the year. With throwing cages, long jump pits, a 137m warm up/sprint straight and pole vault mats this really will be a perfect place for training.
And while the athletes are training the infield can be used for a variety of activities including badminton, netball and much, much more. It's going to be a hive of sporting activity.
